The peninsula of Peloponessos is only connected to Greece's main land by a newly built bridge across the Korinthos Channel at the city of Patras. The Peloponessos is a true treasure for anyone that loves or is interested in the rich culture and history of Greece. In that area, lots can be seen at Olympia, Mycene, Mistras, Epidavros and not to forget the ancient capitol of Greece, Nafplio.

In the south you will find beautiful beaches and picturesque little villages of which Methoni is one. Methoni is located in the far southwest of the Peloponessos peninsula, at an hour's drive from Kalamata (also the location of the nearest airport). In Methoni you'll find nice restaurants, some of which are located on the town square, directly overlooking the beach and sea.
